住在菲律賓的赫伯特 (Herbert Chavez) 從小就愛超人，在經過23次手術之後，他成功與偶像「更接近」。

赫伯特的整形之路長達18年，過程包含漂白膚色、抽脂、打填充物和整鼻子與下巴。今年37歲的赫伯特已經花了約59萬台幣 (30萬披索，19000美金) 在整形上，而值得一提的是，菲律賓平均1小時薪資約177台幣 (90披索)。

最近赫伯特打算請醫生替自己整出「超人腹肌」，但醫生在發現赫伯特偷注射違法填充物後，拒絕幫他手術。

醫生表示，赫伯特替自己注射的填充物叫作MesoLipo，在美國並未合法，這簡直像是對身體打毒藥，醫生認為赫伯特在這樣的情況下動手術，弊多於利。

這位「超人」的身體坑坑巴巴。醫生認為，赫伯特需要的不是手術，而是應該去健身房。

在知道手術無法如期進行後，赫伯特表示自己非常失望，但他在之前也承認，自己真的很愛吃巧克力。

不過至少在「上半身」，赫伯特倒是轉變地很成功。

赫伯特還專業地戴上變色隱形眼鏡，遮住自己的褐色眼睛。

唯一遺憾就是不會飛…

赫伯特表示，自己並不後悔，也不知道有什麼好後悔。他認為因為超人的關係，自己的人生一路走來都非常正面。

赫伯特說，直到身體再也無法承認手術，或是醫生要他停止，他才會停下這條「超人整形之路」。赫伯特收藏了眾多超人珍藏品，甚至在過去3年登上《金氏世界紀錄大全》。他在2012年2月出現在書中時，擁有1253件超人商品，其中包含真人大小公仔和價值不斐的周邊商品。

但赫伯特說他其實有超過5千個收藏，而且預計增加到1萬個。

甚至由於超人漫畫實在太多，赫伯特還曾為此搬過家。只能說赫伯特從小對超人的愛，從來沒熄滅過。
